Leveraging AI to Bridge Africa's Medical Imaging Gap
Expanding healthcare access to 1.5 billion people by training a specialized healthcare workforce of local annotators to interpret medical images and expand their diagnostic knowledge base.
Our Measurable Impact Goals (by 2030)
Measurable outcomes that demonstrate our commitment to transforming healthcare access across Africa
The AI Healthcare Data Gap: 1 Billion People Excluded
Most AI health systems are trained using data largely collected in high-income countries, which means that close to 1 billion people in low- and middle-income countries are not well represented in diagnostic models. More than 80% of genetics studies focus on a limited portion of the global population. When training data does not reflect the full range of human variation, AI-powered tools may be less accurate in different populations, leading to missed or incorrect diagnoses and reinforcing existing gaps in health outcomes.
Our Approach: Building Inclusive AI Healthcare Infrastructure
PeakPoint Services addresses the AI healthcare gap through comprehensive training programs, diverse medical data annotation, and sustainable employment creation that ensures African populations are represented in global AI systems.
Medical AI Data Annotation Training
We train African healthcare professionals to annotate medical images and data for AI systems, ensuring diverse representation in diagnostic algorithms. This creates both employment and ensures AI systems work accurately for African populations.
MRI & Medical Imaging Excellence
By providing world-class training in MRI imaging and interpretation, we enable healthcare workers to contribute high-quality medical data that represents African populations in global AI training datasets.
Healthcare Technology Access
We establish training centers with medical imaging technology, giving healthcare workers hands-on experience with tools they wouldn't otherwise access, while generating diverse data for AI systems.
Opportunity-Focused Employment Practices
Our HealthTech solutions create meaningful, well-paying jobs (65% women, 80% youth) in healthcare AI support services, ensuring underserved communities benefit economically from the AI revolution.
